Job Summary:

The Sales Executive / Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for being the “first point of contact” for sales prospects, quickly moving them through the company’s pre-qualification process and closing qualified sales deals. You will be responsible for prospecting, cold calling and following up on warm leads to develop a pipeline and acquire new customers within your territory.

The BDR needs to understand the company’s software applications and benefits in order to sell the company and product value proposition to prospects and demo the product. BDRs are also expected to make a fair amount of outbound calls to support the company’s event marketing programs and lead generation efforts. These outbound calls will generally carry an objective to either drive attendance to events, or follow-up afterwards.

Specific duties of the Sales Executive / BDR include:

  • Rapidly responding to all lead generation efforts and qualifying sales inquiries generated by various methods of marketing.
  • Provide follow-up to inquiries from weekly Webinars, Tradeshows, and other Marketing programs.
  • Proactively sell the Services Automation Solution to the IT Managed Services Market.
  • Prospect for and identify new account opportunities; include cold calling.
  • Deliver effective presentations and demonstrations and manage the customer relationship from lead inception to deal close via a telesales model or in person.
  • Sell directly to Presidents, top executives and owners in the SMB marketplace
  • Must maintain accurate and timely contact activity data in our sales automation tool.
  • Responsible for achieving monthly sales objectives
  • Some travel required

To succeed the Sales Executive / Business Development Representative must be driven and flexible, work in concert with the Sales and Marketing teams, discipline to make the calls and follow up in an organized professional manner.

Your profile: 

You must have experience working in a sales/telemarketing environment (B2B). Able to function in a team atmosphere, appreciate aggressive goals, and have excellent organizational/time management skills. Familiarity with IT Services, Managed Service Providers, and/or outsourced IT Consultant a major plus.

  • Must possess a positive, professional phone demeanor; superior communication skills.
  • Must have high aptitude for learning and must be self-driven in a high opportunity environment.
  • Proven communication skills and working relationships with sales teams.
  • 4-year college degree or similar preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years inbound and/or outbound telemarketing/telesales experience.
  • Business-fluent in Dutch & English.
